So..........Here i'am signing up to a blogging website for the first time, bit daunting, but intriuging.
I've alway's been a fan of reading people journal entries, not in a sneaky peek at a g/f's i mean published journals. i.e Henry Rollins even Kurt Cobain's.
So, as of today i'm gonna start documenting my life and the ongoings of friends and mishaps!
I'm totally burnt to a crisp after Soundwave festival yesterday, feel sick because of it too!
Yesterday was such an anti-climax, worst organised festival i've ever been.
Arrived at about 12 to see the biggest queue in the world, and thought 'ah ok, it'll seep through quick enough'. 2 1/2 hours later we were no way near getting in.
Pete hear someone 30 mins previous get a phone call saying that the southern entrance had no queue whatsoever, and we comtemplated leaving and risking it.
I thought it was too much of a gamble, but Pete went. We got a call 30 mins later from Pete saying we had to get a cab right around the raceway and we could stroll through the southern entrance. So away we went.
Got to the southern entrance and skipped through in seconds! Bullshit!!
By the time we got in it was 2.50 and 22 songs from the end of Saves The Day, who i had planned to see. Bullshit!
We all decided that stage 3 was the best and luckily enough the beer tent was right in front of it so i pugged up for the day and watched Finch, New Found Glory, Alkaline Trio, and best band of the day Face To Face.
With the right organisation it could easily rival the big day out, as BDO never caters for anything slightly alternative these days.
The line-up was immense but using a raceway with no covers or shade and a queing system that was a fucking shambles, it leaves a sour taste.
Was stoked to hear Caz co-hosting on XFM back home with Charlie Simpson of Busted/Fightstar fame, and dedicate me 'Mountains' by the almighty Biff!
Even got a video of Katie P and Charlie dedicating and mentioning me at Soundwave, sorry guys didnt end up seeing Underoath!
